    Responsibilities

    • Active role in QA activities during all phases of the SDLC from requirements elaboration, design/development, test and deployment.
    • Creating and maintaining all QA related documentation throughout the SDLC process.
    • Responsible for manual and automated testing activities for multi-tier web base platform. This includes creation of test plans based on business requirements, writing test cases, creating and maintaining automated scripts, working with development engineers to resolve testing defects and completing all test documents for review and signoff.
    • Works with the QA team and QA manager continuing to develop and maintain testing strategies and best practices as well as test scenarios and test scripts.
    • Contributes to the test phase planning.
    • Execution of the test phase consistent with the overall project schedules.
    • Test data creation.
    • Direct interaction/facilitation of defect resolution with development engineering resources.
    • Use of defect tracking tools to log, manage, resolve and report on bugs/defects.
    • Works effectively within a dynamic team environment following QA standards and best practices ensure the highest level of quality

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
    • 2+ years’ experience building eCommerce platforms, consumer finance applications or mobile / tablet apps
    • 2 + years of recent SQA experience
    • Experience with multiple technologies and a working understanding of various platforms/applications or software product(s) used including: Web, knowledge of SQL, MySQL, Selenium.
    • Ability to comprehend new product requirements and then together with an in depth knowledge of the systems/applications execute white box testing insuring the delivery of high quality products and features.
    • Functional testing, system/integration testing, regression testing, performance/load testing and assistance with UAT.
    • Ability to execute both manual and automated testing.
    • Ability to quickly learn and absorb new systems, technologies and business requirements.
    • Must possess excellent written/oral communication and organizational skills with the ability to work within a growing company with increasing needs. Preferred
    • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium.
    • Relational database understanding with the ability to query MS SQL database to verify test
